Receiving screenshots from discovered subdomain websites in your email

“Advanced, automated and modern Recon” is our motto, with each of our decisions we make it more truthful. Little by little we are taking the recon process to another level, which before seemed a very complex task of automating and required a lot of effort when analyzing the information, nowadays it is only necessary to edit a couple of files. All of the above without leaving behind the reliability and accuracy of the information offered to our users.

Before 08/01/2020, we offered screenshots in a folder via FTP server access, however this was impractical for most users who wanted to take advantage of this great feature. That is why we have decided to use attached files via email and from now on, we will send the screenshots in a compressed file to the email address specified by the user. Thus, the user will be able to review the screenshots taken of the new subdomains found from her cell phone in the middle of a meeting, on the street, or from her home in front of her computer. However, the screenshots will still be available on the same FTP path but in a compressed format.

Previously, we followed the following pattern to save the screenshots: subdomain.example.com.jpeg but due to compatibility problems with servers running Windows at the time of compression, we had to change it to subdomain_example_com.jpeg. On the other hand, the compressed file follows the pattern: domain.com-yyyy-mm-dd_hh-mm-ss.tar.gz which is compatible with any file and operating system. Here’s an example of the emails you’ll receive:

Finally it is worth mentioning that this compression feature does not depend on any external tool, everything is inside Findomain+. That means that the tool can work independently on any operating system. Join us!
